About our age policy

I/O is a 21+ establishment.

This means that during our operating hours, we don’t allow in anyone under 21, including children with their parents. Why is that? Well, two reasons.

1) For the safety of the child. I/O's catalog of games spans the entire 5500sqft game floor, which means people are constantly in motion inside. With alcohol involved, people may not be at their most coordinated or aware, and this could lead to accidents that harm a child. Obviously, our goal is to prevent that from happening - we don't want anyone getting hurt here, especially kids!

2) To create an inviting bar atmosphere. We pride ourselves as a place for adults to feel like kids again, playing their favorite games from their youth and waxing nostalgic. Because our business is majority alcohol sales, in order to create a worry-free atmosphere for patrons and employees, we require everyone inside to be 21+.

If your kids want to come to I/O, or if you want drag them along to play the games you grew up on, there is good news. Every Saturday and Sunday from 11am-2pm we allow all ages into the bar to play. We still serve alcohol (to anyone over 21, of course), but the kids can run around and play games while you sip on a bloody mary. Best of both worlds. Keep in mind we do not serve minors for any reason, even if a drinking-age legal guardian is with them.

This policy keeps I/O a safe and fun place for everyone.
